Terms of Use

Lumen Bible · Effective May 10, 2026

By installing and using the Lumen Bible: Verse & Widget iOS app (the “App”), you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the App.

1. License

The App and its underlying code are © 2026 Hung Pham. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on any iOS devices that you own or control, subject to these terms and Apple’s standard EULA (which Apple makes you accept when you install any App Store app).

2. In-App Purchases (Pro)

The App offers optional Pro subscriptions:

  • Monthly — auto-renewing, billed each month.
  • Yearly — auto-renewing, billed each year.
  • Lifetime — one-time purchase, no recurring charge.

Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage and cancel via your iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. We don’t process payments ourselves; Apple handles billing per its terms.

3. Bible content

All five bundled translations are in the public domain (American Standard Version 1901, King James Version 1769, Vietnamese 1926 “Phan Khôi”, Reina-Valera 1909, Almeida Revista e Corrigida 1898). Pro cloud translations (ESV, NLT, NASB) are licensed through api.bible; usage is subject to their respective publisher terms.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the App’s source code
  • Use the App for any commercial purpose without written permission
  • Share or resell verse content downloaded from cloud translations
  • Use the App to harass, defame, or harm others

5. Disclaimer

The App is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We strive for accuracy in all Bible text but cannot guarantee that verse content is free from typographical errors. If you spot an issue, please report it to letuyet1987.family@gmail.com.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including loss of bookmarks, highlights, or other locally-stored data.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

Frequently asked How do I add a widget to my Home Screen? Long-press an empty area on your Home Screen → tap + in the top-left → search “Lumen Bible” → pick a size → drop it. Long-press the widget to configure translation and background. How do I add a Lock Screen widget? Long-press your Lock Screen → tap Customize → tap a widget slot → search “Lumen Bible” → pick Circular, Rectangular, or Inline. Can I change the verse translation? Yes. Open the App → Settings → Translation → pick from ASV, KJV, VN1926 (Vietnamese), RV1909 (Spanish), or Almeida (Portuguese). All five ship offline. Privacy Policy Lumen Bible · Effective May 10, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 This Privacy Policy describes how the Lumen Bible: Verse & Widget iOS app (the “App”) handles information you provide while using it. We are committed to keeping your data on your device. What we collect Almost nothing. Lumen Bible is designed to operate without a server. Specifically: Your bookmarks, highlights, and favorite wallpapers are stored locally on your iPhone in the app’s App Group container. They never leave your device unless you explicitly use the Share feature. Your reading streak and reading-plan progress are stored locally in iOS UserDefaults. The language and translation you pick are stored locally in UserDefaults. Notification preferences are stored locally; the notifications themselves are scheduled by iOS, not by our servers.
